○ Adjust the conditions of a published activity/block
Scenarios
- You have added conditions to blocks and/or activities and the template has already been published. The triggers of a condition aren't correctly setup and now you would like to change them.
What role do you need?
Designer
What part of the condition can be changed if the activity has already been published?
This depends on the condition you want to adjust. It is only possible to change the triggers of conditions. This means that you can, for example, adjust percentages or activities that are linked in a condition.
It is not possible to delete the condition or to add a new condition to the activity, or to remove the triggers of a condition.
Which conditions can be adjusted and what can still be changed?
'X period after start date of the course'
The period setting can still be adjusted after publication.
'X period after the start date of the learner'
The period setting can still be adjusted after publication.
'From date X'
The date can be changed within the activity in the template, as well as at course level.
If you adjust the date at template level, the change will be applied to all courses that are part of the template.
On the Settings page of a course you can change the date for the specific course under the activities tab in the Conditions column.
'Until date X'
The date can be changed within the activity in the template, as well as at course level.
If you adjust the date at template level, the change will be applied to all courses that are part of the template.
On the Settings page of a course you can change the date for the specific course under the activities tab in the Conditions column.
'After activity X is completed'
The activity selected as 'activity X' can be changed. You can select another activity that should be completed before the learner will get access to the activity you are editing the condition for.
'X period after activity X is completed'
After publication, you can change both the time period and the activity that should be completed.
'Until X period has passed after completing activity X'
There are two possible settings for this condition:
- Until completing activity X: you can change the selected activity.
- Time period: you can change the time period in the condition.
'After activity X is completed with a minimum score of X (the exact score is included)'
You can select a different activity in the condition you can change the minimum score.
'After activity X is completed with a maximum score of X (the exact score is excluded)'
You can select a different activity in the condition you can change the maximum score.
'After activity X is completed with result X'
You can select a different activity within the condition and change the result setting.
'After block X is completed'
You can select a different block within this condition.
'X period after block X is completed'
The time period can be adjusted and a different block can be selected.
'After the learner has spent X time in the course'
You can adjust the time in the condition.
The following conditions will be editable in the longer term:
...After a retention of 'X'% is reached
...Until a retention of 'X'% is reached
...After learning objective 'X' has a percentage of 'X'%
When updating a condition the change is also applied to the courses.
Learners who have already completed the activity or block, which is either hidden or available through this condition, will keep access to it.
