  • You want to adjust the terms 'Passed', 'Not yet passed' and 'Failed' for (video) hand-in assignments.

What role do you need?

Designer (optional)

In the first part of this article, we will explain how to adjust the terms for the entire (sub) environment. From step 3 you can read how to change this per template.

Go to the tab and expand Advanced settings in the Environment settings.

Click Edit assessment terms and colours

1) Edit the terms and colours for assessments, external activities, events and (video) hand-in assignments (when a threshold is set).

You can adjust the terms of these activities with the first two options:

  • Assessing as passed
  • Assessing as failed

After clicking Update, the changes will be implemented immediately and existing learners will see the new terms in their activities.

2) Edit the terms for (video) hand-in assignments)

You can adjust the terms of these two activities with the following options:

  • Approving hand-in assignments
  • Allow resubmitting hand-in assignments
  • Allow resubmitting hand-in assignments
  • Not approving hand-in assignments

If you use multiple sub environments, you can set this per sub environment.

3) Change the settings per template

Go to the tab and click  at to the template you want to edit.

Then, go to the Template Settings tab where you will find the Assessment Terms and Colours panel at the bottom that you can fold open.

By default, the colours and terms of the learning environment are used. You can change this by choosing the setting Template specific terms and colours. The settings are exactly the same as described in steps 1 and 2.
