5) Publish blocks and activities

You can only publish a block once all activities in that block contain content.

This means that you can publish a block with just one activity. After publishing, you can add new activities to the block and publish them at a later time.

Next to all blocks and activities, you see a small globe icon. An activity/block is published when the globe is light grey. Unpublished activities/blocks can be published by clicking the dark grey globe.

Once you click the globe, you can select in which courses you want to publish the activity and notify learners of the newly activtated activities

You can also choose to not select any course and send a notification to the instructors. They in turn can then decide when they want to enable the activity for the learners.

You can edit these notifications

  • Activity available
  • Publish course part
Keep in mind that many activity settings cannot be changed or any content added once the activity has been published. You can add content to lesson and documentation activities even if they are already published.
