○ Tutorial: How do I create content?
Why is content created separately from the template (in content libraries)?
Content (content parts and questions) is created and saved in content libraries. This content can be used in one or more templates. You only have to create your content once and can then use this content in different templates.
Required roles
Author
Step 1: Create a content library
Only users with the role of Administrator can create new content libraries.
Go to the tab Content and click +Content Library. Give the Content Library a name and click Create.
In the article below you can read more about creating and library and the different tabs within a content library:

Step 2: Add folders, questions and content parts
If you approach the content library via the the tab Content (not the case if you have just created a new content library), click Manage next to the content library to add questions and content parts.
Add folders
To maintain the overview in your content and content library, you can create folders to place your questions and content parts in. Click +Folder and name this folder. To add a folder in this folder, again click +Folder to add one. Click Location to change the location of this folder.
Tip 1: Create folders related to your lessons and place the content related to this lesson in the folder. Encode them with IDs to order them. This saves a lot of clicking work when creating a template!
Tip 2: The Designer creates learning objectives on template level. He can choose to add learning objectives all at once by using the folders that contain the questions. If this is relevant for your course, please pay attention to the names of the folders so it is similar to the learning objectives that will be used.
Add questions
Click +Question to add a question to the folder. Add the title of the question. In the field ID you can add an ID to the question. Adding an ID is optional but it will very much improve your ability to find the questions in the content library to edit them, if you have a lot of questions. IDs help to structure and sort the content within a content library.
For example, use IDs to manage the various versions of your content, so you can easily identify and differentiate older and newer content. The ID is not visible for the learner.
You can always adjust the title of a question at a later time.
In the pop up where you give the question a title you also choose the question type. In the article below you can read more about the different question types:
○ Which questions can I use in aNewSpring?
Click Location to add the question to the right folder. Then add the question by clicking the Add button. If you want to edit the question immediately, then click the Add and edit button.
The chosen location will automatically be the location of your next question or content part.
Creating a Content Part
Click +Content part and fill in the title of the new content part. Add an ID in the ID field. This field is optional.
Choose one of the layouts. This is not a definite choice, once you start working with the content part, you can still easily change the layout.
Click Location to add the question to a specific folder. Then add the content part and if you want to, you can change it straight away.
Click Create and Edit to add content to the content part. If you only want to add the content part to the content library, click the Edit button.
