○ How to create access codes
Scenarios
- You have created a product in your catalogue, and you want to allow customers to buy the same product multiple times. For example, a teacher could buy multiple codes for his students. After completing the order, the customer receives multiple codes.
- Once a learner is subscribed to a course, a license is deducted immediately. If you are not sure if a learner will actually participate in the course, you can create an access code for them. The license is then deducted only when the learner uses the access code.

1) Create an access code group
Go to. Click
in the top-right corner.
Click +Group to create a new access code group. Access codes are created within groups. Each group has to be linked to one or more courses or bundles.
If you want to link multiple courses or bundles to one group, you will have to create these in advance and then select Existing course and/or bundle.
Select New course if the course does not exist yet and you want to create a new one from this screen.
Did you know you can set up default settings within a template, which will then be applied to every course created from that template? You could for example already assign instructor groups. To do this, go to
, open a template, click More in the top-right corner and select Settings.
Clickto confirm the creation of your group. You will then return to the overview of all your access code groups.

2) Create access codes (optional)
If you will use the access code group with a catalogue product, you do not have to create access codes. The system will generate access codes as they are orders.
Click next to the group to manually create codes. Enter how many codes you want to generate, and then
.
You can select the codes and send them to a mail address of your choice. Alternatively, you can select the codes and click Copyable version. A new window appears, from which you can easily copy and paste the codes.
3) Manage access code groups
Codes from an access code group are shown in a table, in which you can see the code and which learner already used it. You will usually also see a dot in the column Subscribed then. This dot disappears when the learner is unsubscribed from the course.
If an access code is generated for an order via the catalogue, you can also the order number for which it was generated (and can click the number to directly go to the order).
You can only delete codes if there is no order linked to it. Once a code is deleted, a learner can no longer use that code.
You can move codes to another access code group, unless that group is linked to a course of a template using the 'To create one limited activity for exam or evaluation' purpose.
