Scenarios

  • Learners are subscribed to many courses at the same time. By giving related learning journeys the same tag, learners can easily find these learning journeys using the filter function.
  • You have added many products to the catalogue. You give the products that belong to a specific topic the same tag, so that learners can filter on them.
  • You offer many of the same training courses in the catalogue, which are given at different locations. By tagging the products with a location, learners can easily filter for training courses in their area.
  • You offer training courses at different levels or years in the catalog. This way, learners can filter on the desired level or year.
Which roles do you need?
  • Reseller
To create and / or add tags to products in the tag collection that you have access to.
  • Administrator
    To add tags to courses.
To make the tags visible to learners.

1) Create a tag collection whose tags are visible to learners

It is better to put tags for learners in a different tag collection than the tags intended for internal use.

In the article Managing tag collections you can find out what tag collections are and how to create them.

Optionally, you could create a separate tag collection for the courses and the products, so that you give another person the rights to use and manage the tags.

Step 3 of the mentioned article explains where to find the setting to make the tags visible to learners.

2) Add tags to courses

After the tags have been added, learners can see and filter them on the homepage.

Live in the release of May 31: The filter can be set so that the search results match all selected, one or none of the tags.

3) Add tags to products

And learners can see and filter the tags in the catalog.
