Scenario's

  • You want to add agenda items for upcoming events or meetings for the learners within a course
  • You want to show the exam date in the learners agenda.
  • You want to help your learners plan their activities so they know when to finish an activity.

Which role do you need?

Instructor, administrator or reseller


It depends on your role on which page you have to be. Administrators and resellers must go to the Templates tab. Click More at a course

If you are an instructor you will find the More button on the Instruct tab, click on Calendar.


1) Add items to the calendar

Click  to make a new entry. Here you can select the subject, date and time for the calendar entry.

Link your calendar

Click Link calendar to link the calendar with an external program. Paste the link that appears in the other calendar that you are using, provided that the other program supports this feature.

Export your calendar

Click Export calendar to export it as an ICS file. These can be opened in Microsoft Outlook or Google Calendar for example.


2) Create a planning

With the study planner you can plan when activities need to be done.

You can only create a planning when this is enabled in the Template Settings.

Click on  in the calendar overview. Here you can set the date and time. You can also choose to send automated notifications a few days in advance before the activity should be completed.

All data you set will be visible to all learners within the course.
