○ Creating a SCORM of an aNewSpring course via SCORM Cloud
Scenario
- You want to play a SCORM of an aNewSpring course in another LMS, without setting up a proxy server
As described in our article about using SCORM to play an aNewSpring course in another LMS, the SCORM export of aNewSpring does not export the course as a 'real' SCORM package. Additionally, you are required to set up a proxy server to be able to play the course in the other system.
Using SCORM Cloud, there is a way to turn an aNewSpring course into an actual SCORM package. Follow this guide to find out how!
To do this, you will need a free SCORM Cloud account.
1) Export course as AICC
Follow the instructions in step 2 of our article on how to export a course for AICC.
2) Import into SCORM Cloud
Log in to your SCORM Cloud account, and click +Add Content in the top right corner. Select the option 'Import a SCORM, AICC, xAPI or cmi5 package'
In the next screen, select your exported AICC file from aNewSpring and import it into SCORM Cloud.
3) Create a dispatch
In SCORM Cloud, click Dispatch in the menu on the left. Then, click +Create dispatch in the top right corner.
In the next screen, click Add course at the top and select the AICC file you just imported. Click Create new destination and enter a name in the new window (for example, 'SCORM package'). Click Save to save the destination.
If you followed this guide earlier, you can click Add existing destination instead and select a destination you've created earlier.
Finally, click Create at the bottom of the page. We're almost there!
4) Download the dispatch
After creating the dispatch, you're sent back to the Dispatch screen. Tick the box in front of your dispatch, and click Download.
You now have a SCORM package ready to import into another LMS!
