○ Using tags - the basics (Content Converter)
This article contains information about the Content Converter. This is an external tool that can convert aNewSpring content to Word and vice versa. More information about the Content Converter can be found on this page.
Adding tags in your Word file will help the Converter understand what to do with certain page elements. The tags will not be visible in aNewSpring.
Writing a tag
Tags need to be placed between square brackets, like this: [tag]
Some tags accept an extra value to indicate an extra option.
Add the value after a colon symbol without a space: [tag:value]
.
Check the usage of paragraphs
Each tag should be placed in a separate paragraph without any formatting.
Enable Show all to make sure that all tags are in a separate paragraph. You can recognise a paragraph break by the pilcrow (¶) symbol:
If you use a 'soft return' (Shift + Enter) after a tag, the next line will be part of the same paragraph. This will result in an error while converting the file in the tool. You can recognise a 'soft return' by the carriage return arrow (↵) symbol:
Rules for tags:
- place them between square brackets
- Don't use spaces or capital letters
- The style of the tag should be 'Standard'.
Do not use special formatting - Put the tag in a seperate paragraph
- Don't place other text in the same paragraph
