Creating good questions is a complex task that can take up a lot of time. Certainly when you want to offer learners enough questions to practise and to feel comfortable with their knowledge over covered subjects.

The AI question generator can help you to create many multiple choice questions in a short time. The question generator is for example ideal for easily creating additional questions on a specific topic to help better set up the MemoTrainer or adaptivity.

The AI question generator can only generate multiple choice questions.

Creating questions with the AI question generator

1. Create a new question

Open the content library via the Content page in which you want to create new questions via the question generator.
You can also create new questions with the question generator within an activity.

Click the +Question button to open the pop up where you can create a new question. Select the Multiple Choice question type under Scorable Question Types .

Select the Location at the bottom of the pop up where the questions should be added in the content library.

Then click Create AI Multiple Choice questions:

2. Select content parts or add text that the generator should base the questions on

Content parts
Under the tab Content parts tab you can select one or multiple content parts the question generator should use to create new questions.

Text
Under the tab Text you can enter text that the question generator should base the questions on.

3. Generate the questions

After you have entered text or selected content parts, click Generate .
Depending on the amount of text the generator can use to create questions, the question generator will create one or more multiple choice questions.

It is important that you select sufficient content for the generator to create questions from.

After generating the questions you will see the following information:

  • Question and answers: here you can see the question that the learners will see along with the answer options.
The correct answer to the questions is already marked.
  • Name: This is the name of the question that you will see at the back end of the environment in the content library or in the activity where the question is added;
  • ID: You can add an ID to keep your content structured in the content library and to distinguish the questions from each other based on the ID.

The generator generates questions in the language of the content library. The language setting of the content library can be changed on the Settings tab of the content library.

4. Review the questions and add them to the content library

You can still edit the questions after they have been generated. If the question is correct and you want to add it to the content library, click the Add to content library button. This button will then change to the Marked button:

If you don't want to use the question, you can delete it by clicking the bin icon.

After all the questions have been checked and you confirmed which questions you want to use, you will see an overview of the number of confirmed questions at the bottom of the page.

Optionally, you can turn on the option to shuffle the answer order of the questions by checking the box next to Random answer sequence.

Then click Add to add the questions to the content library:

Then click Make Available to add the questions to the content library.

You can always adjust the questions at a later time by opening the question via the content library.

You can create 500 questions per month, per subenvironment.
