Scenarios

You may receive a review of an assessment from a moderator. In the article What does a moderator do? you can find some scenarios of why this could happen.

What role do you need?

Instructor

Click via the tab  on  to go to the assessment dashboard.

View a review

If a moderator has started working on one of your assessments, you will see an extra 'Review' column.

Just click on until the screen opens where the handed-in work can be seen. Scroll down to view the review. It can be Upheld or Not Upheld with an explanation.

It depends on the settings of the activity whether you can still adjust the score for the learner. You can check this with the designer of the learning journey.

A moderator's review can only be viewed by you. Other instructors of the course cannot see the review.

Reviews of essay questions in assessment activities

Assessment activities can have multiple attempts and can contain multiple essay questions.

When you have received a review on an assessment of an essay question and a learner submits new answers by retrying the assessment, the review can no longer be viewed.

Notifications

An instructor will receive automatically a notification and an e-mail when an assessment has been moderated by a moderator. Communicating these updates proactively to the instructor, helps the moderation progress faster.
