Once you have created competencies, you can bring them together within a profile and link learners to it. Learners can then acquire certificates to complete competencies, and eventually complete the profile.

1) Add a profile

Click .

Select the tab Profiles and then click .

Give your profile a name and a description. Both will be visible to learners linked to the profile.

2) Link competencies to your profile

Competencies are the 'requirements' learners have to fulfil to complete the profile. Click  to add competencies that you have created earlier.

Create new ones by clicking. To do this, you have to make sure that there is a competency collection.

You will find more information about collections and creating competencies in steps 3 and 4 of the article Creating competencies in collections.

Learners will see the competencies in their profile in the order you select them in this step.

3) Link learners to your profile

Select the tab Learners and click to link learners to the profile. You can also link learner groups to the profile by clicking the Select group button.

These learners will see the competencies linked to the profile.

Giving learners access to a profile doesn't mean that they are also enrolled in the courses. You can subscribe them yourself or put courses that are linked to a competence in the catalogue. Learners can enrol themselves via the profile.

4) Link instructors or observers to your profile

Select the tab Instructors to link an instructor and/or observer group to your profile. Should you want to create new groups, you can find more information on how to do that in this article: creating instructor and observer groups

Instructors and observers linked to a profile can view the progress learners have made within the profile.
