Scenarios

  • You want to give learners the opportunity to repeat learning material, helping them to turn it into long-term memory.
  • You have created additional questions that do not appear in the activities, but you want to include them in the MemoTrainer.
  • You want to make a MemoTraining available for learners at the moment they start with the learning journey.

What role do you need?

Designer

1) Turn on the MemoTrainer in the template settings

Want to learn more about what the MemoTrainer is? Read more about it in What is the MemoTrainer.

On the tab, click to the right of a template. Then, go to the Template settings tab

Enable the option Retention training with the MemoTrainer

2) Decide how you want to make questions available in the MemoTrainer

There are three ways to make questions available in the MemoTrainer:

  1.  After completing an activity, you can have the activity's questions added to the MemoTrainer.
  2. After completing an activity, you can have add questions that were not in the activity to the MemoTrainer.
  3. Select questions which are immediately available in the MemoTrainer once a learner starts the course.

Open questions are not offered in the MemoTrainings.

A) After an activity is completed

Click on the Templates tab, and then click on  next to an activity.

Next, select the option 'Make questions MemoTrainable when lesson is finished' under the Properties tab.

Is the template already published and you forgot to check this box? You can always select the questions afterwards as described in step B.

B) Make questions extra MemoTrainable

In an activity, select the tab 'Extra MemoTrainable Questions'. Here you can select questions which are added to the MemoTrainer once the learner has completed the activity.

C) Make a MemoTraining available for learners at the start of the learning journey
