○ The advanced environment settings
You can partially change the environment settings yourself. Anything missing in the list below that you would like to see different? Please ask our support team for help.
Subenvironment
To change the settings, first select the subenvironment where you want to make your changes.
After you have made all your changes, choose Update.
Look & feel learner environment
You can choose a different look & feel for the learner environment by selecting the appropriate look & feel from the dropdown.
Advanced settings
Logo back-end environment
A user with the learner role will see a different design of the environment then users with other roles. Add a logo for the back-end that is not visible for the learner, but is for the others.
Access code
If the checkbox is selected of Available when logged in then learners are able to add an access code on the Home page. When the option Available when logged out is selected then the access code field is available on the login screen. New learners are able to create an account by using an access code. This option should only be enabled if you want to make use of access codes to subscribe learners.
It is also possible to enable both options: the access code field is then visible on the login screen and on the Home page for learners that are logged in.
Catalogue
Make the catalogue visible for learners when they are logged in and/or logged out.
Enable the setting if available demos should be visible in the catalogue.
Learners time spent
Show learners and their instructor / mentor the time spent on a specific learning journey. The times are also totalled and displayed as the total time spent.
Learners see this on their results page and instructors can see the duration time per learner in the learner tab of the statistics.
The total time spent on a course can also be displayed on a certificate.
Read the text 'Good to know' at the bottom of the Tutorial: Create a report to view the time spent by learners in activities and courses to find out how the time is measured.
HTTPS
Check the box to make your environment use HTTPS. Enable HSTS if you want to force a secure connection. You can find more information about it at xolphon.com.
X-Frame-Options
When you enable this option, other websites cannot embed your aNewSpring environment.
Help button for Learners and Instructors
- By default, Form with custom e-mail is used, with the e-mail address of the person who created the environment. When learners click on the help button, they will be able to ask their question in a form.
- Choose aNewSpring support site to let the help button refert to the learner support site http://studentsupport.anewspring.com/support/home.
- With a Custom URL you can link to, for example, a page of your own website.
- Or Hide the help button.
E-mails
By clicking the button Edit e-mail contents you can edit the text of the notifications that are being send to the learners from the platform.
Player
The player refers to the page transitions that learners see within the activities. You can alter the settings for this.
Assessment terms and colours
Learners can see the terms passed, failed and not yet passed for certain activities, with a corresponding colour as a result. You can edit the assessment terms and colours.
Privacy statement
Add a privacy statement per (sub)environment and per language.
Look & Feel
Show the learning environment to learners in the colours of your branding by adding a look & feel.
User session settings
Set the time when users should be automatically logged out after inactivity.
