Where can I find the group overview?
Click on Groups when under the tab 'Users'. You see several tabs for different kinds of groups.
How do I add groups?
Add a student group to subscribe multiple users at once to a course. To do this go to the tab 'Students'. Then click on +Group to add a student group. If you want to create this group within an existing group, first select the group. To add students to a group, click Add or click the name of the group and then +User. Users and groups can be removed by selecting them and clicking on Delete.
When participants are added to a student group they will be immediately subscribed to the course(s) the group is linked to. If this is a subgroup and the main group is linked to a course, the students will also be subscribed to that. This might cost credits or licences.
To select many students at once, you can click and drag along the checkboxes.
When editing a group, the tab Settings will show you to which courses the student group is linked to. You can also link the group to subenvironments. Users with the reseller role and with access to the particular subenvironment can then also link this group to courses.
Instructor groupsInstructors can only be linked to courses if they are part of an instructor group linked to the courses. Read how to link the instructor group to a course. Adding instructors to a group works the same as adding students to a group. You add them under the tab 'Instructors'
Mentors can only be linked to courses if they are part of a mentor group linked to the courses. Read how to link the mentor group to a course. Adding instructors to a group works the same as adding students to a group. You add them under the tab 'Instructors'.
