The platform structure

Take a look at the structure to understand the aNewSpring platform a bit better.

1) Create questions and content

Under the content tab you create questions and content. You can put this content in different folders to give it a structure. This content can be used in different templates. A template is the course a learner will experience, with different activities like lessons and tests. You will be able to edit and change your content the entire time.

2) Create a course template

In a course template, you can use content parts to fill a template. The content parts can be used at different parts of the template. A question for example, may be a part of a lesson, but can then also be used in the MemoTrainer.

See the support article: 'Scenario: How do I create a simple course?'.

3) Make use of learning objectives

To give learners more insight into their progress on the various subjects, you can employ objectives. You can link multiple learning objectives to a question.

For more information on setting learning objectives, read the article: 'Creating objectives'.

4) Use MemoTrainer objectives

If you want to employ MemoTraining in your course, you can choose to use MemoTrainer Objectives. Questions with the same MemoTrainer Objective are interchangeable with each other. The knowledge intake (long term memory) is then built up from the set objectives. To give an indication: learners may have answered one question wrong from a list of ten questions of the same MemoTrainer Objective. This one mistake will be compensated by the other questions from that objective that were answered correctly. If the MemoTrainer Objectives are not involved, the questions are not exchangeable for each other and learners have to answer all questions correctly, to reach a knowledge intake of 100%. For more information, see the article: 'Linking objectives to questions in the MemoTrainer'.

5) Create a course

Once the course template is finished, you can publish the template and create a course. Multiple courses can be created per template to allow for multiple groups.

See the support article: 'Creating a course'.
